Every year, Musqueam celebrates November 1st as a holiday that acknowledges the hard work of its ancestors and their determination to seek justice and protect the inherent rights of the Musqueam people. On November 1, 1984, the Musqueam Indian Band won Guerin v. The Queen, a case led by Musqueam Chief Delbert Guerin. The decision fundamentally changed Canadian law and resulted in a victory for all Indigenous peoples in Canada.
